Georgian Diplomatic Mission in Kraków

The Consulate General of Georgia in Kraków is the newest diplomatic mission established in our city. Consul General Ioseb Khakhaleishvili began his mission in February 2025.

On 24-27 June, our city hosted a meeting of the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) Board of Governors. On Wednesday, 25 June, Maria Klaman, Deputy Mayor of Kraków, welcomed distinguished guests – representatives of the 25 member countries of the foundation. The meeting was attended by Anna Radwan-Röhrenschef, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which is organising the meeting, and Ambassador Beata Stoczyńska, currently serving as ASEF Executive Director.

On 8 June, Maria Klaman, Deputy Mayor of Kraków, met a Brazilian delegation led by Ana Paula Matos, Deputy Mayor of Salvador. The purpose of the visit was to promote religious tourism, an area of particular importance to both Kraków and Salvador, as well as to discuss the creative economy, social and educational projects.

Kraków’s Climate City Contract from a European Perspective

On 16 June 2025, Mayor Aleksander Miszalski met with Philippe Froissard, European Commission's Deputy Director-General of the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation (DG Research & Innovation), to discuss the challenges and commitments arising from the Climate City Contract signed by Kraków in September 2024.

Freedom of speech and new challenges in journalism – global media leaders convene in Kraków.

On 4-6 May 2025 the ICE Kraków Congress Centre hosted the World News Media Congress. The event, organized by WAN-IFRA – the world's largest organization of publishers and journalists – has brought together media representatives from nearly 80 countries.

Kraków among the winners of the 2025 European Capitals of Inclusion and Diversity Award.

Kraków has been awarded the Bronze Prize in the prestigious 2025 European Capitals of Inclusion and Diversity Award, organized by the European Commission. The city was recognized for its wide-ranging efforts to support diversity and inclusion in public spaces, the healthcare system, education, and culture.

Buses and good practices. Kraków helps the city of Sumy

On April 15–16, Kraków hosted a delegation from the Ukrainian city of Sumy, which has recently suffered the devastating consequences of Russian attacks. On Palm Sunday, a missile strike on the center of Sumy resulted in the deaths of over 40 people and left another 100 seriously injured. Mayor of Kraków, Aleksander Miszalski, extended his condolences to the Consul General of Ukraine. Kraków will also be providing Sumy with humanitarian aid.
